TY Week January 2019

During the January TY week secondary school students attend the college for a week to get a taster for Computer Science. ACM Student Members were involved as Tutors, delivering content and helping the students where needed.

Vex IQ Regional Challenge 2019

The Vex IQ regional challenge was held in the DkIT. Primary schools that built and programmed their own Vex IQ Robots competed against each other for fun and games. Members of our Student Chapter helped run and the event.

Christmas Night Out 2018

Who works hard, must party hard; so the saying goes. Celebrating the end of the year, Christmas and most importantly the end of lectures, ACM members met in Russell’s to celebrate. Raffle prizes included a Raspberry Pi, Google Home Mini, Chromecast.

AIB Datahack 2018

Teams from the ACM Student Chapter travelled to the AIB in Leopardstown to tackle a Datathon or Hackathon. Coming in early from Dundalk the students were accommodated and given the opportunity to challenge themselves in either a data science or programming challenge.
