Vex IQ Challenge
January 15 @ 8:00 am - January 17 @ 5:00 pm
Dates are not 100% confirmed
The Vex Challenge IQ is a competition in which a team of primary school students build and program a Vex robot, and pit it against robots built by student teams from different primary schools with in a given time limit.
Additionally there are challenges where they will have to co-operate to collect enough points to qualify for further rounds.
All challenges take place in an arena with various obstacles and tasks to overcome. The programming competition will require students to program their robot to carry out these challenges with zero user interaction. Additionally there is a user interaction challenge where students will control their robot with a controller.
Judges will also pick a best design winner for the school who has designed the most practical and aesthetically pleasing robot.
ACM members are encouraged to volunteer at these events as it will show you a side to computing that is not currently available in any computing course, if you’re interested in participating please get in contact with us.
