‘Tomb of the Mad God’ win Best Overall Completed Game

DkIT’s second Game Jam took place on the 30th October in the School of Informatics and Creative Arts. 30+ students attend the event where teams of 5-6 battled it out to create the most innovative and fun game. Many teams made use of DkIT’s Virtual Reality equipment to create some shocking and horrifying Halloween Games! DkIT’s Michael Connolly and Colin Guilfoyle of Nebula Innovations teamed up with four students to host and organise the event. A panel of judges, including past students and four lecturers, deliberated over the games to decide on the winners. There were two categories up for grabs – ‘Best Overall Completed Game’ and ‘Most Fun Game’.

The winning teams were as follows:

Best Overall Completed Game
‘Tomb of the Mad God’
Timothy Nguoi
Seamus McArdle

Most Fun Game
‘It’s a Metaphor’
Ryan Dullaghan
Jason Lynch
Nathan Farrell-Lynn
Anthony Saputra
Coleman Costello

Congratulations to the winners, and to all who took part!
